Andy Marshall over at Fotofacade has a great article up at the moment about how photography relates to architecture.
In it he argues that "The photograph is the principal currency in which architecture is traded."

Today sees the beginning of a two week workshop/project in Sydney call UrbanIslands. From the site itself - "Urban Islands is a 12-day intensive masterclass taught by 3 groups of international emerging architects on and about the controversial site of Cockatoo Island in the Sydney Harbour".
By George! is a project being run by the City of Sydney as an attempt to "to enliven the City's laneways and forgotten spaces". The plan is to create installations in a number of Sydney's small laneways by interdisciplinary teams later on in the year. This website is currently an introduction to the project, and a call for submissions by teams with their ideas for what can be done
